The H1 halogen bulb for cars is the original form of a halogen headlight bulb. H1 bulbs were in use from 1964 onwards. The H1 bulb is a single-filament halogen lamp. Its socket fits into a P 14.5 plug-in socket. At a voltage of 12 volts, an H1 bulb produces 55 watts. If the power is doubled, an H1 produces 70 watts. The new halogen headlight bulbs from renowned lighting manufacturers such as Osram and Philips, which offer H1 bulbs as Night Braker Laser, Ultra Mega Light, Silverstar, or White Vision, shine even brighter.
